As a result of the new wave of environmental awareness and fear of global warming, many people have started biking a lot more than before. The U bike itself was introduced by GreenU to help people commute without creating carbon emissions.

This is a picture of ice melting. This is not talking about the ice in our drinks, this is talking about polar ice caps, but since antartica is awfully hard to get to around this time of year, i had to settle for ice melting on the sidewalk

This is a picture of a graph. One of the many effects of global warming has been the inflow of graphs and charts, all showing different things. Some graphs show global warming is real, some show its fake. Some show global warming is helping polar bears, some show its hurting. Some show it's man made, some show its a natural cycle.

wierd?

In an article in Wired i found something about the art of Eduardo Recife. Apparently the man has something with blinding his characters. I have a feeling this image has some sort of deep meaning or implication for society. Further interpretation soon to come.

will the rolling stones ever call it quits?

As promised, my image from The New Yorker magazine! The way the words and image play of each other in this picture is phenomenal. The image seems to be of any average person buying any average tickets, but the caption at the bottom give the image a whole new meaning and turn it into a joke.

VW bug

This is an old ad for the VW bug. It is regarded as one of the greatest ads made according to a variety of websites. I believe it came during the fuel shortage in the 70's, and what the advertisement is basically saying is "think small, save fuel."

"when you take someone's life you forfeit your own"

The picture which includes that phrase is one of a torn down and very slummy looking house. I believe one window is boarded up, while many others re broken or in a deteriorated state. The phrase "when you take someone's life you forfeit your own" is graffitied on the wall of the building between the first and second floors. In addition to this graffiti there is also a graffitied painting of someone in one corner of the house. This person is painted to a background of pure sky, and looks tranquil. The combination of the phrase and the portrait make me think that this entire house is in a way a memorial to the man depicted in the portrait. Now if this is a memorial to a murder victim, there could be a number of reasons why that phrase "when you take someone's life you forfeit your own" is touted. It could be a general anti-violence campaign that personifies the victim and is essentially an emotion plea to end violence. It could also be a memorial for the person, as well as a request for the courts to give the killer the death sentence, since that phrase could certainly be used to promote a pro death sentence agenda.
